Webcomics

Webcomics for ladies, by ladies and/or about ladies… mostly. Each of the links takes you to the first page or the archives page.

Check out C’est La Vie by Jennifer Miyuki Babcock for some cynical humour. The early strips are a bit hard to read because the images are quite small but it gets better as it goes along.

Archives of some of Dykes To Watch Out For, a strip by Alison Bechdel.

Digger by Ursula Vernon. It’s about a wombat. The art is great and the story is fun if you like cute, anthropomorphized animals and epic adventures.

Gunnerkrigg Court by Tom Siddell. A story about a girl and her adventures at school. It’s sweet and charming.

Hark, a Vagrant! by Kate Beaton. A strip full of historical humour.

Pretty much everything by Megan Rose Gedris is great. There’s I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space which I am particularly fond of. There’s Meaty Yogurt which is gorgeously illustrated. There’s YU+ME: dream which is only, oh, 847 pages long. Here’s Megan’s description of it from her website:

YU+ME: dream is a surreal love story. It is part high school romance, part journey/adventure story, and part total-mind-fuck.

The Realist by Asaf Hanuka. It’s neither by a lady, nor about a lady really but it is amazing all the same. You can read it in either Hebrew or English.

2D Goggles; or The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage by Sydney Padua.

A number of comics and shorts by Dylan Meconis. There’s so much there to explore. There’s also Outfoxed which I didn’t see linked on her home page. It’s really stylish.

Simply Sarah by Sarah Skye is a sweet, teen lesbian love story.

Eve’s Apple by Christine Smith. It’s about a transgendered singer with a crush on her band mate.

The Intrepid Girlbot by Diana Nock.

Enjoy!
